Resources
We realize that creating a poster about your research and presenting it to an audience can be challenging. Below are some resources to help with this process.
Printing Your Poster
- Option #1 (preferred) — Physics labs/research centers will often have large printers for this purpose. Ask your UROP advisor about printing opportunities.
- Option #2 — CopyTech will print your poster. This can end up being somewhat expensive, so we're happy to help offset printer posting fees (please check the appropriate box on your registration form).
- Option #3 — SPS can print a limited number of posters. If you want us to print your poster, please register and send us a digital copy as soon as possible.

Poster Templates
Posters are often made in LaTeX or Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Beamerposter — Use the LaTeX beamer class to create your poster
- SciPoster — For this and Beamerposter, you can put a copy of the folder in the directory with your poster file to allow LaTeX easy access to the class information (instead of having to track down the current installation of TeX). There is a subfolder with an example that you can use as a template.
