Outreach

Outreach is a key aspect of SPS, as it allows us to excite others about the joys of physics. Both our group and individual members are actively involved in physics outreach. Many of our members go back to high schools in their hometown communities to offer presentations on physics, with a short demo, lecture, and description of physics in college. As a group, we recently started visiting local middle schools and doing demos for students, both in class and after school. While our last demos were on line spectra, gyroscopes, and various astronomical topics, we are capable of doing a range of demos.
